2026Looking forward to traveling with Viking again
We had a great experience on our Viking ocean cruise. The ship was great. There are so many well thought out little touches like available umbrellas, smart storage for clothing and miscellaneous items, available bathrobes and slippers. At most ports we could do an excursion and then poke around in town for a few hours. Several of the excursions offered us an experience we would not have been able to arrange for ourselves. We loved how friendly and helpful the crew was. We enjoyed the food and ate at all the venues. Overall, this vacation was fantastic and we're looking forward to traveling with Viking again.

2026Nobody does cruises like Viking
We had the most incredible, absolutely tremendous Viking cruise, folks. Believe me, it was fantastic—probably the best cruise anyone has ever taken. Tricia and I loved every single second of our 10-year anniversary celebration. Nobody does cruises like Viking, let me tell you. First class all the way— elegant, sophisticated, but with that real luxury that makes you feel like a winner. We started off in beautiful Naples—tremendous history there, the food was unbelievable, the best pizza in the world. Nobody does pizza like the Italians and we had it all. Then on to Sicily, what a place! We stopped at Savoca and Taormina—stunning, just gorgeous views, like nothing you’ve ever seen. The ancient theaters, the cliffs overlooking the sea—pure perfection. Taormina is a gem—a total 10 out of 10. Sicily treated us like royalty. From there, we sailed to Bari—another winner. Beautiful old town, amazing architecture, and the people were so friendly. Then up to Šibenik in Croatia—surprising how fantastic it was! The cathedral, the waterfalls nearby, everything was really impressive. Clean, historic and the water? Crystal clear, like a dream. And then, the grand finale—Venice! Oh, what a city. No cars, just canals and romance everywhere. We glided through those waterways like champions. The palaces, the bridges, St. Mark’s Square—tremendous. The art, the history, the gelato—everything top of the line. But wait, it didn’t stop there. After the cruise, we had an amazing post-extension at Lake Como—pure luxury. The views of the mountains and the lake? Breathtaking. The villas, the gardens, the service—unbelievable. The food, the wine, the serenity—it was perfect. Como is very special. Overall, this Viking cruise was a total home run. Classy, relaxing, educational and fun—all at the same time. If you’re thinking about a cruise, do Viking. You won’t regret it. Tricia and I can’t wait to do it again.

2024We cannot thank Viking enough
I just wanted to thank Viking for our recent cruise. We cruised with our grown children and their spouses. They were amazed at the ship and services. Our son-in-law left his phone on board, and Viking overnighted it back to the States. Amazing! The most incredible trip we have ever taken. We cannot thank Viking enough.

2023Everything we wanted and more
This was our first Viking cruise, but it will not be our last; everything we wanted and more! If you're looking for enrichment, a wide variety of dining choices, no pushy sales of any kind and no kids, this is your cruise line. Port talks were invaluable for navigating our first tour of Italy (highly recommend taking advantage of those), our cabin was far more comfortable than any others we've traveled in, and the calm quiet nature of the smaller ship suited us perfectly. We would do it all over again!

2020We loved the trip
The Italian Sojourn is perfect for anyone wanting to see the best of Italy! While on board Viking Ocean, the ship is the best. Not crowded at all only about 900 guests, and the food is excellent. The excursions are well organized and you are busy every day seeing the sights early in the morning. We loved this trip so much that we booked another on board. If you love Italy you will love this trip.

This was our first Viking cruise. We loved it…You should make reservations for the specialty restaurants. They are exceptional… The included tours give a great overview of the town. Šibenik was more interesting than expected. We found exceptional seafood... The entire day in Venice was wonderful. We walked from the ship and made it to the Rialto Bridge… Wandering Venice is a must to discover its secrets. When you have the night in port you can stay out until dawn. The coordination of transfers was exceptional. We are taking another Mediterranean cruise with Viking next year.

The educational benefits that Viking offers are outstanding and the entertainment is excellent. Italy was a trip we will never forget, and Viking helped make it that way. 2018Beautiful ship
We did the Italian Sojourn and it was fabulous! The pre-extension in Florence/Tuscany was wonderful and post-extension in Venice was great. The food, both on and off the ship, was great and staff could not have been nicer! I cannot wait until our Alaska cruise next summer... Beautiful ship and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you have a fantastic cruise! We made many new friends on our pre-extension in Florence, which carried over to the ship.

I want to mention the general manager of the all the restaurants on this ship... When he found out that my daughter and I could not get a reservation to Manfredi’s, he went out of his way to make sure that we got to eat one night at this restaurant. For this, my daughter and I are thankful. This is what customer service is all about. All the staff were tremendous. We have booked another cruise for 2020. Viking, you all are the best. Keep up the excellent service.
